Anne Thaler received her PhD from the University of Tübingen in May 2019. She worked with Betty Mohler and Michael Black at the Max Planck Institutes for Biological Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems in Tübingen. Her dissertation examined self-body perception in ecologically valid scenarios using virtual reality and novel computer graphics methods for generating realistic biometric body models. She secured a VISTA postdoctoral fellowship and joined the BioMotion Lab in June 2019. She works on projects investigating the perception of one’s own and other people’s bodies in action.
