Anne Thaler received her PhD from the University of Tübingen in May 2019. She worked with Betty Mohler and Michael Black at the Max Planck Institutes for Biological Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems in Tübingen. Her dissertation examined self-body perception in ecologically valid scenarios using virtual reality and novel computer graphics methods for generating realistic biometric body models. She secured a VISTA postdoctoral fellowship and was a part of the BioMotion Lab from June 2019 to January 2022. She worked on projects investigating the perception of one’s own and other people’s bodies in action.
