Dean Rosen

Dean Rosen (Sept. 2017- ) is an undergraduate student in the lab and works on his 4th year thesis project. His main project is to identify the perceptual differences between pictorial and visual spaces.  The purpose of his study is to measure and compare the differential perception of depth compression in pictorial and visual space in virtual reality using a new construct called “orientation bias”. Images in pictorial space are compressed in depth; therefore, relative to a frontal view, directional angles of objects tend to be perceived as more obtuse than they truly are.
