The BioMotionLab at York University is searching for a postdoctoral researcher to oversee a project that combines basic research with applied science to achieve a better understanding of the limits of current video conferencing systems and to develop methods and technology to overcome them. Tasks involve:
- Design, execution, evaluation, and publishing of experimental work on people perception and interpersonal communication, both face to face, via conventional telecommunication systems, and in various forms of virtual reality.
- Assistance in the supervision of graduate students and their research projects.
Required skills include:
- Experimental design, data analysis, programming skills, excellent writing skills, strong background in vision science, experience with virtual reality hardware and software development, incl. ample experience with Unity.
