Software Developer

The BioMotionLab at York University is searching for a full-time software developer to support research and development in the area of virtual reality, 3D computer animation, and new media. The ideal candidate would have a background in computer science or related discipline and experience with 3D computer graphics and animation, as well as with computer vision. Experience in multiplayer game development and iOS development would be a plus. Tools currently used in our lab include:

  • Game development and virtual reality: Unity/C#
  • iOS development incl. ARkit, Core ML/Vision
  • Programming environments: Unity/C#, Matlab, Python, Javascript
  • Libraries: openGL, openCV, openXR, SciPy, SciKit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow

Duties will include developing, refining, and packaging software tools for the lab to use for various projects that involve mixed reality, telecommunication, motion tracking, virtual characters and self-avatars, and many others.

Salary is competitive, negotiable, and commensurate with your skills and experience.
